You will join a 2-year-old start-up with users in 36 African countries. And now it expands to Eastern Europe. The company is using the latest technologies and tools. You will have a chance to grasp the whole codebase. At the DevOps Engineer position you will:
Automatize your work where it’s possible;
Use ElasticSearch, Docker, Puppet, RabbitMQ, etc.;
Handle and improve databases, front/back-end servers, monitoring, logging, CDN and other support software/services and report to keep the team updated;
Keep an eye on the infrastructure and react to issues within company SLAs.
Profound expertise in Linux and command-line interface/shell;
Expert with Python or a strong willing to learn it;
Knowledge of any other programming language (C, C++, Go, etc.) is appreciated;
Willing to learn fast and being good in process automation;
Good grasp of source code versioning;
Good written and verbal English skills;
Analytical and solution focused thinking;
Good comprehension of any of the following technologies would be a plus: PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, Icinga, Nagios, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Docker, LXC, LVM, RAID, CoreOS, Puppet, CHEF, SALT, CFEngine, nginx, Apache, Lighttpd, Varnish, Squid, Debian, KVM, XEN, Prometheus, Cacti, RRD;
Experience in networking and solving network issues;
Background with large-scale deployments;
Acquaintance with principles of video encoding and streaming.
