With your passion for databases, be it SQL or NoSQL, you take the company's internal cloud platform to the next level.
In an agile environment, you are responsible for the implementation of platform-level capabilities of iAWS - the company's well-architected AWS Landing Zone. Your focus lies on database services which means that you are responsible for making all sorts of AWS database services an out-of-the-box, one-click deployment experience for the company's internal users of AWS. It requires you to have experience in using these services over an extended period and know the lifecycle of a database in all its details (creation, backup+restore, major version upgrades, scaling, key rotation, decommissioning). As a platform engineer, you embrace Infrastructure as Code to achieve your goals. With your proven expertise in the field of SQL and NoSQL databases, in particular, you complement the team optimally.
You don't just get a new full-time IT job abroad, you are becoming a part of something bigger – the team of awesome techies where every single individual matters. We care about you and aim to make your move abroad as smooth as possible. Besides visa sponsorship, you can count on housing support and a relocation bonus from the hiring company.
Rotterdam is the 2nd largest city in the Netherlands with the biggest port in Europe. Being situated just half an hour from Amsterdam, it can be considered a fascinating place to work and live in. Rent is cheaper than in Amsterdam, which is one of the arguments for taking your next tech job in this city. Rotterdam is also easily accessible with fantastic air, rail, and road links, so the rest of Europe will be practically "at the end of the street." What's more, the Netherlands is known for the 30% ruling, a beneficial tax facility for employees who are recruited from abroad.
